Today, we are joined by Inna Ganshowa research scientist at Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History. And she hasn’t come empty-handed—her new book has just been published.

It’s a monograph with a rather haunting title: “No One Wept Anymore—There Were No Tears Left.” This quote comes from the memoirs of a woman who was forcibly taken for labor. The book’s subtitle provides a clearer picture: “Ukrainian, Russian, and Belarusian Forced Laborers in Luxembourg During World War II in a Transnational Perspective.”

So many lives are hidden behind these stark lines. Dramatic personal stories unfold against an equally dramatic backdrop of history. It’s part suspense, part retrospective, part saga, part historical novel—and so much more.

How was this book created? What was the process of uncovering documents and eyewitness accounts? And ultimately, what was the purpose of this work? Today, Inna Ganshow will tell us all about it.
