About this Host
Nuran Atis is born, raised and living in Germany. She started her professional journalism career in 2017 as a reporter and translator at the German ARD foreign studio in Istanbul. Her area of responsibility was in addition to the translations of interviews for the programs of Tagesschau, Tagesthemen, Morgenmagazin, Mittagsmagazin, she has also translated press interviews, vox pops, reports from various Turkish television channels such as CNN Türk and speeches by various Turkish politicians into German.
After completing her studies, she worked as a journalist and translator in Germany. Among other things, she translated the Turkish President’s speech during his visit in Cologne for a newspaper. In order to be successful in the academic field, she started her master’s degree in Theater Studies and Interculturality at the University of Trier and Luxembourg.
Since 2023 she has been moderating her own show “Vintage Icons” on Radio ARA.
