About this Episode
At the end of the theater season, the Luxembourg Ballet troupe will delight us with a premiere of “Romeo and Juliet” set to the music of Sergei Prokofiev. Choreographer and artistic director Olga Castel told me she has been preparing for this production for two years.
It’s not just a love story, but also a deep dive into the aggression and hatred that build up in everyone. It shows how a bright feeling can be born from this conflict and change everything. Olga believes that love is about embracing differences.
Lead dancers Katya Zinovieva-Provalinskaya and Ekaterina Floria agree with her. They shared their thoughts on working on the production, interpreting their roles, and even some dancer secrets.
The performances will take place on June 28, 29, and 30 at the Cube 521 theater.
